Herky-jerky is slang. Het is een Engelse uitdrukking voor iets dat het karakter heeft van plotselinge, onregelmatige of onvoorspelbare bewegingen of stijl. Je zou kunnen zeggen dat het een geheel is van gespring van de hak op de tak. In horten en stoten. Terwijl het toch één samenhang vormt.
Zo zou je ook een gesamtkunstwerk kunnen duiden: een samenspel van verschillende kunsten of verschillende soorten kunst. Verschillende onderdelen die vanuit diversiteit één geheel vormen. De uiteenlopende werkwijzen die kunstenaars hanteren zullen, als zij worden samengevoegd, een relatie aangaan met elkaar. Elke maker heeft immers zijn of haar eigen stem waarmee een boodschap wordt geuit. Samengevoegd zou je kunnen zeggen dat al die verschillende stemmen resoneren en samenklinken. Soms harmonieus; soms dissonant.
Jelle Slof streven in de kunst, en probeert, met behulp van humor en schijnbare naïviteit, zich te profileren als "conceptueel ambachtsman". Roy Ruepert Covergirl, put that bass in your walk. Anke van den Brink zoekt naar het gebied wat zich bevindt tussen het onthouden en iets vergeten. Het onophoudelijk voorbijgaan, de onophoudelijke herhaling van ons bestaan en hoe alles altijd anders loopt. Malou Rutten Als ik nadenk speel ik met een stuiterbal, ik zie mijn reflectie in de glitters in de bal, een mini universum in mijn hand.Ik kan kijken naar mezelf daarbinnen gereflecteerd, die mini Malou’s die naar me kijken terwijl ik naar hen kijk. Drs. Isabelle Bisseling deed cultuurhistorisch en (neuro)biologisch onderzoek naar de kleur blauw en ontdekte dat onze ervaring van deze kleur niet alleen rustgevend is voor ons oog en brein, maar tevens actief aanzet tot contemplatie en verbeelding. Ze probeert in haar werk de beschouwer te verleiden om het onbekende te verkiezen boven het vertrouwde en onderzoekt op welke manieren de kleur blauw hieraan kan bijdragen. Bart Koldewee Het werk van Bart Koldewee bestaat uit een persoonlijk onderzoek waar in vorm, verhouding en geometrie een grote rol spelen. De schilderijen zijn het resultaat van het toepassen van zelfopgelegde regels. Terence Baier 'Roland' gives insight in a relationship between a daughter and her father, who staggered through parenthood due to his mental state. Maria Dabrowski De oorsprong van haar werk ligt in de documentairefotografie. Haar lange termijn projecten, die een aanzienlijke betrokkenheid uitbeelden, zijn vaak te zien in foto-installaties en in boekvorm. Janneke Baltussen Een belangrijk aspect van mijn werk is tactiliteit, het 'voelbare'. Dat geldt zowel voor mijn materiaalkeuze als voor de afbeeldingen, die een illusie van aanraakbaarheid bezitten. Nurzehra Ulukaya Mijn werk gaat vaak over de waarneming, over het mentale en het onderbewuste, de toestand tussen waken en dromen. Zo ontstaan beelden met een surrealistische twist, soms licht duister. Derde Wal selecteerde een aantal kunstenaars, die in de loop van de tijd steeds werk toevoegden aan de groeiende tentoonstelling.
De tentoonstelling was te zien tot en met 28 november in de gang bij de opleiding Creatieve Therapie.
Op 23 november waren er kunstenaarsgesprekken voor geïnteresseerde studenten.

Bart Koldewee The work of Bart Koldewee consists of a personal investigation in which form, proportion and geometry play a major role. The paintings are the result of applying self-imposed rules. Terence Baier 'Roland' gives insight into a relationship between a daughter and her father, who staggered through parenthood due to his mental state. Maria Dabrowski The origin of her work lies in documentary photography. Her long-term projects, which depict considerable involvement, are often featured in photo installations and in book form. Janneke Baltussen An important aspect of my work is tactility, the 'tangible'. This applies to my choice of materials as well as to the images, which have an illusion of touchability. Nurzehra Ulukaya My work is often about perception, about the mental and the subconscious, the state between waking and dreaming. This creates images with a surreal twist, sometimes slightly dark. Derde Wal selected a number of artists, who over time continued to add work to the growing exhibition.
The exhibition was on display until 28 November in the corridor of the Creative Therapy course.
On November 23 there were artist talks for interested students.
